There will once again be Chinese pavilions organized by Messe Muenchen Shanghai at IFAT 2024. The Korean Environmental Industry Association (KEIA) and Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) will jointly operate a total of 216㎡ "Korea Pavilion" to showcase outstanding technologies and products in the water treatment sector (Hall B2) and waste management sector (Hall B4).

The Water Environment Federation (WEF) created the International Pavilion Program in 2008 to make it easier for companies to exhibit at major water/wastewater shows around the world. Under the program, WEF purchases exhibition space with the major international water quality shows and constructs a pavilion with booth space set below the minimum required by most international shows. WEF provides a fully-built and furnished booth (3x3 meter minimum) in a prime location, one WEFTEC Priority Point towards next year’s WEFTEC booth selection, pre-show marketing through WEF publications, translation and refreshment services, lounge area, etc.

Fachverband Biogas

With over 4,900 members, the German Biogas Association (Fachverband Biogas e. V.) is the largest German and European interest group representing the biogas industry. German Water Partnership e.V. ITAD Interessensgemeinschaft der Thermischen Abfallbehandlungsanlagen in Deutschland e.V.

The German Association of Waste-to-Energy Plants (ITAD) represents the interests of operators and owners of thermal waste treatment plants (classical municipal waste incineration plants, RDF plants and sewage sludge incineration plants).

ITAD is the association of all German municipal waste incineration plants and many RDF plants (more than 90 plants in total). It supports the interests of the environment as well as of the fee payers, of trade and industry towards the public, politics and authorities and represents the interests of the members in the European Union, in Germany and in the federal states. ITAD provides information on the benefits of thermal waste treatment plants through public relations, research projects and more.

KUMAS UMWELTNETZWERK (environmental network) was founded in 1998 as part of the high-tech campaign of the Bavarian state government. Around 180 KUMAS members such as companies, municipalities, chambers of commerce as well as scientific and educational institutions are committed to the use of innovative, environmentally sound products and services and contribute to improving environmental quality. KUMAS promotes the environmental competence of its members in many ways. The KUMAS congresses “Bavarian Waste and Landfill Days”, “Bavarian Immission Control Days” and “Bavarian Water Days” are known far beyond Bavaria and increase the environmental competence in the specialist circles. KUMAS' own environmental award "KUMAS Leitprojekte" (KUMAS Lead Projects) is presented annually to projects that are particularly suited to demonstrate environmental competence.

Leipzig Chamber of Industry and Commerce

In 2024, Saxony-based companies will again be presenting their products and services at a joint company pavilion. In the past years, the pavilion organized by the Saxon Chambers of Industry and Commerce (IHK) already impressed as an industry meeting point and platform for sharing experience and knowledge.

Visitors can find out about sustainable technologies and concepts for energy-efficient and resource-saving water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, and make contact with companies in the industry.

The environmental awareness of Saxony-based companies is also reflected in the “Umwelt und Klimaallianz Sachsen” (Saxony Environment and Climate Alliance) initiative, an approved alliance that goes back more than 20 years between the Free State of Saxony and the Saxon economy. Lower Saxony

The Association for Pipe and Sewer Technology Companies (VDRK), founded in 1989 in Stuttgart, is the professional association for the pipe and sewer technology industry. It understands itself as the mouthpiece and lobby of companies in its sector.

The VDRK currently consists of more than 500 members, and the number is rising. Its main tasks include advising its members, providing specialist and legal information on pipe and sewer technology, actively cultivating the exchange of experience and promoting education and training. This also includes active participation in a wide variety of specialist organizations, ensuring fairness in dealings with customers, suppliers and competitors and maintaining contacts with authorities, associations and client organizations.

Also RAL Gütegemeinschaft Grundstücksentwässerung and BFW Bau Sachsen will be represented at the VDRK pavilion.

VKU Verband Kommunaler Unternehmen

The Association of Local Utilities (VKU) represents the interests of the local public utility sector in Germany, which includes both supply and disposal services. The more than 1,500 member companies organized within the VKU are primarily active in the fields of energy supply, water supply and sewage, waste management, municipal cleaning, and telecommunications. With around 293,200 employees, they generated sales revenues of around €123 billion and invested around €16.4 billion in 2020. Currently, around 206 municipal companies are involved in expanding broadband networks. They invested more than €957 million per year.
