Water-conscious city of the future (DWA & DVGW)

In 2026, the Spotlight Area Water will be themed “The Water-Conscious City of the Future” – with a focus on climate-resilient urban development and sustainable drinking water supply.

Visitors can expect an inspiring space for exchange and innovation. The special area will showcase concrete solutions for how we can – and must – make our cities more livable, progressive, and smarter. The water industry's contribution to this is enormous and multifaceted.

The two major industry associations, DVGW and DWA, will show what is already possible today and invite municipalities, utilities, planners, and decision-makers to interactively explore the Spotlight Area Water and engage in conversation on key topics for the future.
