The challenge

In the Pipeline Challenge, teams from pipeline construction companies, training institutions, utilities, and network operators compete in their profession. Prospective specialists as well as trained workers in the pipeline construction industry with less than ten years of experience showcase their skills to a wide audience.

The challenge provides a practical demonstration of how technical expertise, modern materials, and innovative laying techniques come together on a pipeline construction site.

Tasks of the Pipeline Construction Challenge

Practical relevance is key: the task is to build a water distribution system using cast iron and PE pipes and to mount a repair clamp with a flange connection on a pipe system. The teams' performances are assessed by technically competent and independent referees, who duly evaluate the timely and qualitative execution. Each team consists of three participants.
