Digging deeper: Günter Stoll about consequences of the Covid-19 crisis

Günter Stoll, Managing Director Grünbeck Wasseraufbereitung GmbH

IFAT | Amid the coronavirus pandemic, what is the biggest challenge in your business field?

Stoll | For Grünbeck the greatest challenge in the coronavirus pandemic is to maintain the proper operation of the company for as long as possible while strictly observing health protection and hygiene regulations. As Grünbeck's products and plants are urgently needed in the four sectors of water, health, food and energy on the list of critical infrastructures, it is our company’s social duty to ensure that our products and services remain fully available despite the circumstances. So far, we have succeeded in doing so.

IFAT | What opportunities do you see in your business sector in this crisis?

Stoll | The coronavirus pandemic has strengthened the public interest in hygiene, which also affects or will affect the issue of "hygiene in drinking water". In the context of the coronavirus, we actually find it very difficult to see opportunities. Our primary goal is to prevent negative effects on both health and the economy.
